PRCC's Lila Willett named MACCC Offensive Player of the Week

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference announed its Player of the Week awards Tuesday and Pearl River volleyball's Lila Willett (Chelsea, Ala.) took home the offensive award.

Willett wins the award after a dominant week on the volleyball court across matches against East Central and Itawamba. Over the course of the two matches, Willett racked up an incredbile 40 kills across just eight sets player to average five kills per set. She also aided in the defensive efforts with five digs. 

Willett has played a key role in PRCC's success this season. Through 17 matches and 61 sets, she has recorded 218 kills, averaging an impressive 3.57 kills per set. The versatile standout has also contributed defensively, tallying 60 digs on the year.
