No. 7 Pearl River's Natalee Eaves named MACCC Player of the Week

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference announced its Players of the Week on Tuesday morning, and No. 7 Pearl River softball's Natalee Eaves earned Player of the Week honors.

Eaves helped lead Pearl River to a 4-0 showing at the Visit Panama City Beach JUCO Showdown as the Wildcats defeated Coastal Alabama-South, Andrew College, No. 12 Chattanooga State and No. 5 Wallace State-Hanceville.

The center fielder posted a .714 batting average, a .733 on-base percentage and a 1.214 slugging percentage. She went 10-for-14 at the plate with one home run and one double, driving in nine runs and scoring seven times. Eaves also drew a walk, stole three bases and was perfect defensively, recording a 1.000 fielding percentage.

Eaves is off to a great start through eight games. The sophomore has a .577 batting average, a .586 slugging percentage and a .846 slugging percentage. She has driven in 12 runs, scored 13 and stole seven bases.
