Pearl River rodeo competes at Murray State

MURRAY, Ken. — The Pearl River rodeo team got the spring season underway at the Murray State Rodeo. The men's team finished in eighth place and the women did not place.

Bryson Crawford (Felda, Fla.) advanced to the Championship Round in calf roping with a first-round time of 11.3 seconds. Unfortunately, he was unable to register a time in the second round finishing with 10 total points for the event.

Zane Pittman (Beaumont) and Lane Daniel (Cullman, Ala.) competed in team roping, earning 80 points for the event. The duo had a time of 8.4 seconds in the first round before turning in a time of 12.6 seconds in the championship round to finish third overall in average.
