POPLARVILLE, Miss. — The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference has announced its All-Conference honors, and the Pearl River men's soccer team claimed an impressive haul of awards.
Emil Corfitzen (Copenhagen, Denmark) and Viktor Hammer (Fredensborg, Denmark) earned First Team recognition, while Patton Francis (Poplarville) was named to the Second Team. Cameron Kent (Brandon), Oren Doxey (Gulfport; St. Stanislaus), Sebastian Kristensen (Randers, Denmark), and Julian van Rijsdam (Badhoevedorp, Netherlands) received Honorable Mention honors.
"Having seven players receive conference awards speaks volumes about the level of talent we have here at PRCC," head coach Drew Gallant said. "These student-athletes came here to be part of something bigger than themselves, and their commitment, work ethic and competitive spirit consistently stood out among the top players in our league. I'm incredibly proud of the effort they put in every day, and each of them has truly earned this recognition."
EMIL CORFITZEN
Corfitzen had a remarkable season for the Wildcats, scoring 18 goals in 17 matches, including five game-winners. In addition to his scoring, Corfitzen added six assists, proving to be a dynamic offensive force for Pearl River.
The sophomore's standout performance came against No. 11 Hinds, where he tallied four goals and earned NJCAA National Player of the Week honors.
Corfitzen wrapped up his Pearl River career with 29 goals and 18 assists.
VIKTOR HAMMER
Hammer had a standout freshman season, excelling on the road with five goals, adding two at neutral sites and three at home. He also showcased his playmaking ability, totaling eight assists — five on the road — making a significant impact across the field.
PATTON FRANCIS
Francis was a lockdown defender for the Wildcats, helping Pearl River secure three shutouts, including two in conference play. The sophomore also contributed offensively, finishing the season with one goal and two assists, establishing himself as a presence in the box.
CAMERON KENT
Kent was a fortress in goal, recording 53 saves in 15 matches. His standout performance came against archrival Gulf Coast, where he made four saves to help Pearl River secure the victory and earned MACCC Goalkeeper of the Week honors.
Kent finished his career with an incredible 167 saves, finished with a goals-against average of 1.68.
OREN DOXEY
The freshman was a clutch performer for Pearl River, recording eight assists and three goals, including a game-winner against Copiah-Lincoln. All three of his goals came in conference play, showing his impact in critical moments.
SEBASTIAN KRISTENSEN
Despite limited playing time due to injury, Kristensen made a strong impact, contributing two goals and one assist while demonstrating dominance on the defensive end.
JULIAN VAN RIJSDAM
The freshman emerged as a key contributor, tallying six goals and five assists. He delivered his best performance against East Mississippi, scoring twice to lead Pearl River to an 8-0 shutout victory.
