POPLARVILLE, Miss. — The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference announced its Players of the Week Tuesday morning and Pearl River men's basketball's Daijon Leatherman (Slidell, La.; Legacy School of Sports and Sciences) has earned the award.

Leatherman earned the award after a dominant week at the center position for the Wildcats, averaging a double-double. He began the week with 21 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks against Meridian. He followed it up with a 20-20 game against rival Jones College, finishing the night with 20 points and 22 rebounds while adding two assists. For the week, he averaged 20.5 points and 16 rebounds.

The 6-foot-9 Leatherman has been fantastic for the Wildcats this season. Through 26 games, he is averaging 14.5 points, nine points and 1.3 blocks.
