POPLARVILLE, Miss. — The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference announced its All-Conference teams Wednesday and five Pearl River football players earned an honor.
Jalen Anderson (Slidell, La.) and Cory Jackson (Petal) earned multiple honors. Anderson was named South Division Defensive Player of the Year and a first-team All-MACCC selection, while Jackson was named South Division Special Teams Player of the Year and a first-team All-MACCC return specialist.
Daniel Pickens (Gautier; Resurrection Catholic) also earned All-MACCC honors, taking home second-team recognition at defensive back. Slater Adams (Quitman) and Howard Kinchen (Lafayette, La.; Patterson) had strong sophomore campaigns, earning honorable mention All-MACCC awards.
JALEN ANDERSON
Anderson was a one-man wrecking crew as a sophomore, finishing the year with an incredbile 41 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks. The Florida State commit had two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, one field goal block, one pass breakup, one interception and one defensive touchdown.
In his career, Anderson had 80 tackles, 20.5 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks. He had four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, two interceptions and two defensive touchdowns.
CORY JACKSON
Jackson led the MACCC in return yards this year, totaling 778 yards on 29 returns for a 26.8-yard average. The freshman also scored against Itawamba, taking a return 90 yards for the touchdown.
DANIEL PICKENS
Pickens anchored the Pearl River defense this season, leading the team with 64 total tackles, which included 47 solo tackles. The Old Dominion commit also made game-changing plays, adding an interception, a forced fumble, and two pass breakups.
SLATER ADAMS
Adams enjoyed an impressive two seasons with the Wildcats, appearing in 18 games over his career. The Tennessee State commit helped Pearl River amass 1,423 passing yards and 1,600 rushing yards in the 2025 season and was part of an offensive line that allowed just five sacks all year.
HOWARD KINCHEN
Kinchen finished the season with 39 receptions for 423 yards over nine games, averaging 47 yards per game. He led the team with five touchdowns, highlighted by a standout performance on the road against East Mississippi, where he had eight receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown.
Kinchen wraps up his Pearl River career with 743 yards and five touchdowns on 62 catches.
