POPLARVILLE, Miss. — For the second time this season, the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference has named No. 2 Pearl River's Drew Harrison (Madison; Germantown) the Pitcher of the Week.
Harrison delivered PRCC's longest outing by a starting pitcher this season in a win over rival and then-No. 18 Gulf Coast, tossing seven innings of three-run baseball. He scattered seven hits and one walk while striking out a season-high eight.
The right-hander has been dominant since the start of MACCC play, logging 16 1/3 innings with a 2.76 ERA. He has recorded 18 strikeouts against just six walks and carries a 1.10 WHIP during that span. On the season, Harrison is 5-0 with a 4.89 ERA across 38 2/3 innings, totaling 44 strikeouts and 18 walks.
