Pearl River softball is hosting January camps

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — Pearl River softball is hosting two camps in January. A Kids Camp on Friday, Jan. 9 and a Winter Prospect Camp on Saturday, Jan. 16. 

The Kids Camp is for children in second to seventh grade and costs $50. The purpose of the camp is to teach fundamentals of hitting and fielding through demonstration, drills and instruction. 

The Winter Prospect Camp is for high school student athletes and costs $65. The camp will consist of instruction and drills as well as speed and times on all aspects of the game, including hitting, fielding, speed, agilities, pitching and catching and baserunning.

Participants of both camps are asked to bring their softball gear.

Both camps will be hosted at Wildcat Stadium, with 8 a.m. registration and 9 a.m. start times.
