POPLARVILLE, Miss. — Soccer standouts from throughout the region will have a unique opportunity to see and be seen.
Pearl River men's soccer coach Drew Gallant has announced the program will hold its annual ID Camp on Feb. 29 at the PRCC Sports Complex.
The camp is open for any high school boys soccer players and costs $90.
"This is the best opportunity for kids who are interested in playing collegiate soccer to be seen by coaches from every level," Gallant said. "Almost every player who is on our roster has attended our previous ID camps, so we take the event very seriously."
Goalkeeper, tactical and technical skill sessions will be run by the PRCC staff in addition to a number of guest coaches, including UNCG recruiting coordinator Scott Wells, Mississippi College assistant coach Carl Sheard, Belhaven assistant coach James "Gleddy" Gledhill and Mobile head coach Daniel Whelan.
"Campers will work closely with our experienced staff," Gallant said. "The camp is a perfect way for serious soccer players to challenge themselves against other elite talent while also being seen by some of the top soccer coaches in the area.
Check-in begins at 1 p.m.
