Pearl River’s Alanna Smith, Isaih Moore named Forrest General Wildcats of the Week

 

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — Pearl River basketball standouts Alanna Smith (Picayune) and Isaih Moore (Columbia, S.C.; Sumter) have been named Forrest General Wildcats of the Week.

ALANNA SMITH
Smith had another strong week to help keep Pearl River (13-8 overall, 6-6 MACJC South) in the playoff hunt. In a 54-39 win at Hinds, Smith scored 12 points with six rebounds and a career-high eight assists. She also recorded two steals. In PRCC's 57-56 win at rival Gulf Coast, Smith scored 18 points with five rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Smith is averaging 12.1 points per game with 3.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists.

ISAIH MOORE
Moore had another big week for No. 2 Pearl River (20-0; 12-0). The St. John's signee scored 25 points with 11 rebounds in a 74-46 win at rival Gulf Coast for his seventh double-double of the season. He also blocked three shots in the win. Earlier in the week, Moore pulled in six rebounds with four points in a 68-55 win at Hinds to help the Wildcats remain undefeated.

Moore is averaging 16.3 points per game and leads PRCC in rebounding, averaging 8.6 per contest. He's also averaging 1.1 steals and 1.9 blocks.
